Please STOP the HATE

I've been sitting on this for days now... wondering what to do, what to say, how I feel.

Everyone on twitter and various blogs are fighting, hating and are definitely standing on 2 sides of the same fence.

This campaign to stop the paparazzi from putting Rob & his friends in danger and really invading his privacy, shooting photos up and under his hat as he tries to hide, or up against a wall to get away, has really brought out the hate in many people.

The haters are saying things like:
He's a celebrity, he knows this will happen
He's made millions last year, he can afford to hire guards 24/7
He's not the only one this happens to
Stop trying to mother him
He lives in LA he can leave anytime he wants
It doesn't bother him
He was laughing about it afterwards, so no harm done

Wow. I thought we all loved Rob, so why all the hate?
The hate isn't towards Rob, it's towards the fans. They, WE are divided; and a lot of people are getting into heated arguments and hurtful things are being said.

We all love and respect him, but...as we are all different, the things we want to see and hear are different as well.

Believe me, as a fan I want to see him, hear him, know where he is, how he is, what he's doing all the time. Is that my right? Hell no. Does he owe me that? NO.

I have fangirled and drooled over many pappz photos. We all have. I'm not against all of them. When they just snap a photo of him walking, or getting in and out of a car, or in and out of a building…awesome…I love seeing my guy.

However; when he's having to be carried, helped, and cowering against a wall to avoid them, they've crossed the line.
When he's pulling his hat down over his face, head down, and they lay on the ground to get his face, they've crossed the line.
When they chase him in a moving vehicle to get a photo??? They've crossed the line.
When they chase him into his hotel and almost into the elevator, they've crossed the line.
When they shout nasty personal invasive questions just to get a reaction out of him, they've crossed the line.

This is what we are complaining about. This is why it's important to us to stop this madness. We don't want him hurt, we don't want him to hide, we don't want him to say F this whole thing and walk away.

He just gave us 30 days of non-stop movie promoting..with 100's of interviews, 1000's of photos. He flew all over the world, posed with fans and media in what, 6 different countries, and it's not enough?
Really?

Don't get me wrong….I miss him. But I love him and respect him above all else.

Please let's not fight about this. Let's come together. Lets remember why we love this man so much. Lets meet in the middle and agree to disagree.

I can understand arguments on both sides - but above everything - safety needs to be the first concern. Look at Princess Di - there is proof that the pappz are TOO invasive. George Clooney, Russell Crowe have both been VERY vocal and sometimes physical about it and nothing has changed.

As much as I wish we could change it - the only thing that will make a permanent change is if the governor of the state makes a law about it, right?

So rather than gripe online - write to The Terminator - Arnold in California and see if he will Terminate the Pappz from being so invasive - they should be expected to stay at least 15 feet away - and stay out of their face.

Hi Femroc,

I agree and California does need to pass some laws.

I'm equally upset over the way the fans are turning on each other...that's what inspired this post.

rpattzgirl, common sense, common sense. you are so right, everything you say. We all love to see photos of Rob, but they cross the line most of the time. 99% of the time, and the harrasment they shout at him is so wrong. Yes, fans should come together on this subject. We are here cause of love for Rob, and the cast of twilight, so there is no need for any hate.

I agree too. I haven't said anything before, but the hate that's come out of this is horrible, I've been cringing reading some of it. We all agree on things but some people have not been gracious at all about that. It's been a bit like being back in the school playground again.

I say, if I see a vid of the paps that makes me feel sick from watching what they are doing, then it's not ok, no matter who the person is and what they have chosen to do with their life.

I totally agree with your post & couldn't have said it better myself! The #1 most important thing is Rob's safety & freedom to use his free time as he would like to! I don't understand why there is so much arguing back & forth about this. We are all his fans and are supposed to love him & if that's true, we have to want what's best for him even if that means a few less pics for us to drool over!
